When the master loaded this zone (if it did) it got errors, and
so doesn't set the AA flag (in "dig" this is flag AA).

Fix the zone on the master and try again. BIND 9 has a
named-checkzone tools that can be useful, but the named instance
should spew an error on loading the zone - it usually involves
CNAMEs (or perhaps that is my bias against CNAMEs showing).

So the problem description is almost always in your log file
waiting to be read and understood. You need more practice with
Google ;)
