Hello,
I wanted to know if ever resolved your issue with BIND 9.1.3. We are running
BIND 9.1.3 on Solaris 2.8
Below is a list of the error messages we occasionally receive when BIND
Bad 00 99:99:99.999 general: error: timer.c:408: unexpected error:
Bad 00 99:99:99.999 general: error: isc_time_now() failed: unexpected error
Bad 00 99:99:99.999 general: critical: stdtime.c:42: INSIST(tv.tv_usec >= 0
&& tv.tv_usec < 1000000) failed
Bad 00 99:99:99.999 general: critical: exiting (due to assertion failure)

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Hi,
I'm running OpenBSD 2.9 and Bind 9.1.3 in an old IBM box, compiling was
fine, but after a few minutes running, bind crashed with the message:
"stdtime.c:42: insist(tv.tv_usec >= 0 && tv.tv_usec < 1000000) failed.
exiting(due to assertion failure)" searching in the mailing lists i found
the solution for freebsd (changing the "timecounter method" in the kernel
parameters), but this option doesnt exist on openbsd. can anyone help?
Thanks in advance, Italo.
