8.2.2 has security holes. The current version of BIND8 is
8.2.5. Upgrade immediately. Better still, install BIND9.2.0.

As for zone file size, your question is meaningless. You might have
well asked "how long is a piece of string?" What's a reasonable zone
file size for one environment may be unreasonable for another. It
depends on the local circumstances: the size of the net, how your
organisation is structured, how much DNS clue is in your organisation,
your network topology and the configuration of your IT infrastructure,
what tools you use for DNS admin (if any), what data you want to store
in a given zone, etc, etc.
