It almost looks like you're sending NOTIFYs to _yourself_. What does your
named.conf look like? Normally you wouldn't need an "also-notify" unless you
have "stealth" slaves.

named doesn't care about "WAN" versus "LAN". All it looks at is how the local
interfaces are configured. Any NAT you do beyond that is invisible to named.
