db file management

we have about 20k, so we have them hashed (which is, if nothing else,
easier for the perl scripts which generate the files).

so we have something like:
/var/named/generated/d/dreamhost.com

for example.

the names and directories can be arbitrary, so it just depends what
works best for you.
