Should work on the master (not secondary - secondary should be getting info
from master - )as such:

zone "bob.com" {
        type master;
        file "bob.com.db";
        allow-update { 10.12.2.164; };
};

Works for me on BIND 9.2.0

CHris

Subject: allow-update option not supported in bind 9 ?

Hi,

The man pages say that the option "allow-update is supported in bind 9,
  but if you run " named-checkconf" it tells you that it isn't supported
in a slave zone ( or altogether ). docs didn't help either.

This was a nice feature in BIND 8 for security purposes. Is it at all
supported in BIND 9 or does there exist an alternate ?

Please also reply via email.

Thanks
