Our DNS servers running BIND 9.2.1 version
Recently, we have encountered a problem that our DNS servers could not
resolve the name www.corel.com.
Therefore, I need to use the console from ISP to investigate the problem:

Further investigation reveals that www.corel.com in NS (ns1.corel.ca. and
ns2.corel.ca.)
when querying ns1.corel.ca. we obtain:

beast~:$ dig @ns1.corel.ca www.corel.com

; <<>> DiG 8.3 <<>> @ns1.corel.ca www.corel.com

beast~:$ nslookup www.corel.com.edgesuite.net.
Server: beast.toad.net
Address: 162.33.144.100

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: a219.g.akamai.net
Addresses: 162.33.165.6, 162.33.165.9
Aliases: www.corel.com.edgesuite.net

As far as my limited knowledge in DNS the CNAME of CNAME is not allow in
DNS. Please explain.
If it is prohibited, how can it got away with previous BIND version such as
8.3.REL?
If it is allowed, why do we cannot query from BIND 9.2.1 version?

I really appreciate any answer, Thanks in Advance!

Sincerely,

Ho Cao Do
