Ok Mark, but ...

Three months ago I had the same machine whith HP-UX 10.20 and HP-OV
5.1. The version of BIND was 4.x. The data BIND files are the same
that I had in the box with the old version of BIND. And all of them
worked quite fine. HP-OV could resolve names and ip address whithout
any problem.

But now, the SO can resolve the name and the ip address correctly (
whith nslookup) but not HP-OV. If I insert the ip address in /etc/host
file there is no problem and HP-OV shows me the events it receives
with de correct source ( my nsswitch.conf file is pointing first to
files,DNS ).

The problem happens when HP-OV tries to work whith the DNS, and I
don't know why.

Does anybody know how I can trace the requests HP-OV performs to BIND
?

Thanks.
