With a bit of scripting you can parse your named.conf and verify
the correctness of all your master zones.

And btw there is a named-checkconf ( for named.conf) too...

You can also complete with using a "stealth" master server, and having 
all externally visible nameservers beeing slaves. Any errors in 
the master will only prevent the slaves from _replacing_the_last_good_ zones.
Which i assume is what you are looking for.
