If you read closley it seems that inetd is complaing,not named.

The verb "bind" refers to the system call bind(2) 

See what processes is active, compare against what _should_ be
active,and act accordingly.

The newgroup "comp.unix.admin" might be a better place for
un*x issues ( beware of the taliban :-)
