"Non-authoritative" is normal and usual. It just means that the answer came from some source
other than directly from an authoritative server for the name/domain, probably from some
nameserver's cache.

If you point your resolver/lookup tool directly at a delegated nameserver, it should always
respond with an authoritative answer. If it doesn't then something is wrong and the domain
owner should be notified.
