Hi all,

I am trying to do nxrrset with nsupdate(8) shipped with a stock redhat
7.1 (BIND 9.1.0_2) but failed.

The question i have is that:
- Is a problem only with the BIND shipped with redhat 7.1, or BIND
9.1.0?
- Do i use nxrrset in some incorrect manner?

Here is what i have done:

nsupdate -d
>server 127.0.0.1
>prereq nxrrset 2.30.168.192.in-addr.arpa PTR
>update add 1.30.168.192.in-addr.arpa 86400 PTR www.andy2.wh.ensim.com.

Output:
Reply from SOA query:

The master is: joe.ian.ensim.com
rdata/generic/ptr_12.c:87: REQUIRE(rdata->length != 0) failed.
Aborted

END_output

However, if i removed the nxrrset, the update would go though.

thanks,
Andy
