Large zone file for 8.2.3-REL-NT3

All but the last one of the following will do a zone transfer of 7723
records. The last one stops at ";; Received 1163 answers (1163 records)."
I have tried a small zone file and building it up and when it goes over
about 1163 records is when it gives the message. Is this situation normal
or am I making a big deal of it? Names seem to resolve fine, but the
zone transfer gives the message.
