This is my zone file template I use. Dunno if it is RFC compliant or not,
but it doesn't return any errors. Please feel free to use it.

#
# Erm ... there is no IP in there, except in the comment field, and I
# thought that // was ignored ..?
#
# I put '$TTL 3600' at the _*very top*_ of the file. Nothing before it, not
# even white space.
#
# I get this ...
#
# May 21 14:37:07 dnsx /usr/local/sbin/named[174]: [ID 866145 daemon.notice]
# starting BIND 9.1.2
# May 21 14:37:10 dnsx /usr/local/sbin/named[174]: [ID 866145
# daemon.warning] the default for the 'auth-nxdomain' option is now 'no'
# May 21 14:37:10 dnsx /usr/local/sbin/named[174]: [ID 866145 daemon.error]
# dns_rdata_fromtext: 127.0.0:6: near eol: unexpected end of input

# dns_zone_load: zone 0.0.127.in-addr.arpa/IN: loading master file

# dns_zone_load: zone company.internal.com.fr/IN: loading master file

#
# Is there something I'm missing ? It's like trying to grab a bar of soap
# in the shower ...
#
# For info., my /etc/namedd/127.0.0 file is like this (the others are
# similar) :
#
# $TTL 3600
#
# 0.0.127.in-addr.arpa. SOA company.internal.com.fr. dns.company.fr. (
# 2000051800
# 86400
# 7200
# 3600000 )
#
# 0.0.127.in-addr.arpa. NS dnsx.company.internal.com.fr.

# As I mentioned, a colleague had promised to buy the book in the US, and
# bring it back. He couldn't find it, and so I have to wait some more
# time. This DNS box has been sitting here for about four months now, and
# I'd like to get it up and running before the end of the week.
