I am not sure what you mean by "get a Windows 2000 domain server to talk
to the DNS boxes".  An easy answer to your easy question is this, which
I have posted before:

    Search the list archives at isc.org.  There have been many Win2k-
    related postings in the past 1.5+ years.  I have a file that 
    contains over 40,000 lines of postings.
