Traffic calculation

The only traffic you can really measure via DNS is DNS query traffic.
Because of caching, query traffic may have little or no relationship to the
traffic generated by clients and/or servers which *use* DNS in conjunction
with other protocols, e.g. SMTP, FTP, HTTP and so on.
