The maximum length of a domain name is 255 bytes. This is a
fundamental limitation of the DNS protocol. That limit however has
nothing to do with the error you report. The problem is caused by a
syntax error (or errors) in your zone files. The most likely
explanation will be a TXT record that doesn't have a terminating
doublequote character. Read the BIND9 migration notes in doc/misc.
