Andris,

To me it looked like if on our box we had two or three installs of perl,
where perl 5.6.1. probably tried to use 4.0 libraries, which I suppose will
result in quite strange errors. I have h2n 2.39 running now without visible
errors with perl 5.6.1. 
BTW You probably don't need to compile from source: I downloaded perl 5.6.1
as a HP.UX 11.0 SD depot from the Software Porting And Archive Centre for
HP-UX in the Netherlands:
