BIND 9 Zone Transfer Messages

We are having problems with zone transfers from our W2k DNS box to
BIND slaves.  One of our off-site slaves recently converted to BIND 9.
Here are messages from that slave for a zone transfer that failed:

     Jul 26 06:41:09 nsx named[24522]: transfer of 'cmt.anl.gov'
       from 146.137.96.48#53: resetting
     Jul 26 06:41:10 nsx named[24522]: transfer of 'cmt.anl.gov'
       from 146.137.96.48#53: receiving responses: REFUSED
     Jul 26 06:41:10 nsx named[24522]: transfer of 'cmt.anl.gov'
       from 146.137.96.48#53: end of transfer

Here are messages from a zone transfer that succeeded:

     Jul 26 10:09:36 nsx named[24522]: transfer of 
       '224.139.146.in-addr.arpa' from 146.137.96.48#53: receiving
       responses: not exact
     Jul 26 10:09:36 nsx named[24522]: transfer of 
       '224.139.146.in-addr.arpa' from 146.137.96.48#53: end of transfer
     Jul 26 10:09:37 nsx named[24522]: transfer of 
       '224.139.146.in-addr.arpa' from 146.137.96.48#53: end of transfer

Some of the good transfers do not have the "not exact" message,

My question is this:
What do the "resetting" and "not exact" messages signify?  Is there a
web site that has the BIND 9 messages?  This site

     http://www.acmebw.com/askmrdns/bind-messages.html

appears to have only the BIND 8 messages.  Thanks.
