Owner is a DNS context typically means the "name" of a
record.

So for;
www IN A 1.2.3.4

www is the "owner".

I think "no current owner" probably just results from a
syntax error in the zone file.

Try using "named-checkzone" if on 9, or copy a generic zone
file and add the "1 PTR localhost." entry.
