Sure, it's possible to make such a query. Whether or not you get a usable
answer is a totally different matter :-) Some admins store the list of
domains as TXT records under some name or another.

To answer the question you *didn't* ask, though: no, there is no
*standard* way to get the list of domains. If the nameserver happens to be
running BIND, and you have command-line/shell access to the box, you can take
a look at its named.conf. Otherwise, you're probably SOL.
