BIND 9 NS records. (Bind 8 -> 9 ) migration.

Hello -

Sorry, I am sure that this is in the archives someplace, but the key words
that I am using are not retrieving relevant information.

Problem is that Bind 9 no longer "promotes" sub zone information. So, the
sub zone information is no longer available to users. A suggested
configuration fix is much appreciated.

We migrated to Bind 9 over the weekend.

There is an NS record in my zone file:
eecs                    IN      NS      rex.eecs.tulane.edu.

In system log:
"time info" transfer of 'eecs.tulane.edu' from 129.81.132.1#53: receiving
responses: CNAME and other data
