RH 7.0, 8.2.3 upgrade to 9.1.1rc2

Hi

I recently upgraded to 8.2.3 without any problems on RH 7.0 with an RPM.  
Now I have tried to go to 9.1.1rc2 and it continues to start 8.2.3.  I 
successfully ran ./configure, then "make", then "make install".  I 
pointed rc. scripts to the new location for named but it still acts like 
it doesn't see it.  I referred to the "migration" docs but they don't 
seem to offer much help for someone with limited BIND experience.
