Bind 8.2

I am using Bind 8.2 for building my own DNS server. I am able to resolve all
the querries pertaining to the domains in my name servers but not able to
resove the querries refered to root server like www.yahoo.com,
www.hotmail.com etc.
I have allready checked the configuration of named.conf and also checked for
the root.ca.
If any one can suggest me the solution I will be very grateful.
