bind 9.1.0 freezes periodically

hello,
we recently tried to upgrade to bind 9.1.0. i installed it on our
three slave nameservers, with the same build of solaris 7 (patches
identical). all the machines were sparcstation 10s.
i compiled on the third machine, then copied to the first two and
switched over to the new version. for several days, the second and
third machines were working just fine, but the first machine would
stop answering to queries after about 12-18 hours. named would still
be running (and it would be eating up 100% of the cpu!) but it wasn't
answering any ns queries. SIGHUP wouldn't do anything, and neither
would killling it...i had to kill-9 it to get it to disappear, and
then restart it. and 12-18 hours later, it would happen again.
what's up? all systems have identical patches and software, as far as
i can tell.
thanks,
loren
