One of two slaves do not receive zone xfers

Have two BIND 8.2.3 nameservers, one is a master for a local domain the
other a slave to it.

The master's named.conf file has an entry for eur.com as follows:

zone    "eur.com" {
            type slave;
            file "sec.eur.com";
            masters {
                10.9.1.24;
            };
};

The master receives xfers from 10.9.1.24 no problem.


The slave which has the identical entry in its named.conf does not
receive an xfer.  No typos, no errors in log file, not a routing issue.

I have entries on both machines for par.com that point to the same
10.9.1.24 master - both local master and local slave receive xfers just
fine.

Any ideas?
