DNS + www redirection

Luiz didn't say "redirection", did he?

What Luiz described was "virtual hosting", which doesn't necessarily imply
redirection at all. Try searching for "virtual hosting" anywhere web-oriented
and I'm sure you'll get plenty of information on how to configure your
webserver to do it (assuming your webserver is capable, which most of them
are).
