What does SNMP have to do with BIND or the DNS?
At previous employers, we have modified the Net-SNMP agent to
take the statistical data that is reported by BIND via syslog (or
other logging facilities) and to make that available to machines that
are allowed to perform SNMP queries. But you also need to modify
your application (rrdtool, or whatever) that is doing the SNMP
queries to understand the statistics that BIND generates, as I'm
pretty sure that there is no MIB for managing or monitoring BIND or
other nameservers via SNMP.
