I agree.  Occasionally folks used to complain about their 6-server limit,
but I didn't think that was so serious -- except for the root and TLDs, few
domains really need that much redundancy.

However, you can always list more NS records in your zone than the ones
that you register with NSI.  Assuming your servers are running at least
BIND 4.9.x, these NS records will be included in your responses, and will
be cached in place of the delegation records.  The registered servers will
be used as a starting point by servers that don't yet have your domain
cached, but from then on they'll use the servers you give out.
