Actually, I noticed the spamgone.com address, and decided to skip
it for the moment (too many things happening in RL right now).

However, on further checking, it appears that this is actually a
valid domain, and the server for it (freewww5.domainvalet.com
[216.122.66.73]) appears to actually have a mail server listening on
port 25 (sendmail 8.9.3, which probably should be upgraded), as well
as a web server, an ftp server, and something up on port 1024
(although it was not accepting connections from my machine, and I
didn't bother nmap'ing any other ports).

I'm inclined to treat this as a case of someone choosing a
particular domain that they hope will discourage spam by the name
alone, such as an alternate address of mine on stop.mail-abuse.org.
