Dynamic update of glue records

Hi,

Is it possible to dynamically update glue records in a parent zone? For
example, in a parent zone "foo.com" that contains the following delegation
and glue:

bar.foo.com. IN NS bar.foo.com.
bar.foo.com. IN A 42.1.2.3

And the data at bar.foo.com gets dynamically updated to
bar.foo.com. IN A 80.1.2.3

How do we push this new IP address to foo.com? Obviously stub zones are
no good here because the parent has no idea how to contact the child
anymore.

I understand nsupdate in the bind9 distribution has the "server"
directive, but is anything doable in bind8 - other than hacking a new
version of nsupdate to select a different destination for the UPDATE packet
other than the authority for the data?

thanks,
