I see nothing here, not even the version of named you are
running or any evidence that named is still running.

If you are not running 8.2.3 please upgrade, see the following
	for why http://www.isc.org/products/BIND/bind-security.html.

If you are running 8.2.3 and the process still exists can you
attach a debugger to it and see what it is doing or send it a ABRT
signal to produce a core dump.

If the process does not exist please look around for a core file
	from names.

Then please open a bug report with bind-bugs at isc.org.

	Mark

P.S. dig is a much better diagnostic tool than nslookup.
