Why din't they want to include such a useful tool?

BIND 9 contains a massively castrated version of 'nslookup', largely
because they didn't want to include it at all. Granted, classic
'nslookup' did some things differently from regular DNS. However, it
is the commonly-used and documented diagnostic tool.

I keep hoping for time to create a "good" nslookup. ;-) Meanwhile,
don't expect BIND 9's 'nslookup' to behave other than as documented in
the package, and particularly not like classic 'nslookup'.
