Incorrect on all counts.
MS used WINS to try to keep one incompatible protocol [NetBEUI/NetBIOS]
supported by another incompatible protocol. Under later versions of
MSW, though, they realized that their plans to isolate MS users and
create a fully MS network were failing, so they built in an almost-
compatible version of Dynamic DNS into WINS. They are asymptotically
approaching compatibility. Meanwhile, there are much better DHCP
servers, including ISC's own.
