ndc errors with BIND 8.2.2p5

Hi,

I tried to upgrade form 8.1.2 to 8.2.2.5p5. The server seems to work
fine but when I send it a reload (ndc reload) I get this error
message:

ndc: error: ctl_client: evConnect(fd 3): Socket operation on non-socket
ndc: error: cannot connect to command channel (/usr/local/etc/ndc)

The box is a SUN Ultra10 running Solaris 2.7. Anyone know what I
have done wrong?
