The best values for SOA REFRESH, RETRY, EXPIRE and MINIMUM

	This equals 41 days and is OK if a bit long. Most people seem to be =
recommending
	1 week, while I think 3-4 weeks better, which allows for the (usually =
only knowledgeable admin)
	to be away for a while before secondaries expire the domain.

	Do you mean 86400 (1 day?) or 864000 (10 days)?=20
	10 days would definitely be too long, and even 1 day is on the long =
end.
	Usually this is set to 1 hour or shorter. If it gets too short, the =
authoritative
	servers would not see any benefit from negative caching by foreign =
caching servers.
	If it is set too long (2 hours or longer seem excessive), adding names =
which have
	already been requested but had been missed in the file could not be =
effective on
	short notice. Usually this is in the 10 minutes to 1 hour range with 15 =
to 20 minutes
	a good average.
