query A records

my nameserver seems to work when I do 
set q=MX
set q-SOA
I get the right response,


but when I perform 
set q=A

I don't seem to get the proper response,..what could be the problem??

and also,..how do I do a zone transfer manually do I use named-xfer..if
so,..whats the command?
