accepting mail for a subdomain

If you do not control the blah.com OR the pen.blah.com domain then you do
not need to touch Bind at all.

The admin of the blah.com domain should set up the DNS and you need to tell
your mail server that it needs to accept mail form pen.blah.com

Subject: accepting mail for a subdomain

I've started to have some problems with the bind8.

zone: xyz.com/IN: non-glue record at bottom of zone: abc.xyz.com/MX

---------------------

The real question is:

How do I correctly set things up to receive mail for a 3rd level
domain that is not part of my domain?

xyz.com <--- my domain
pen.blah.com <---- domain that I accept mail for

-------------------

; MX records
pen.blah.com	IN MX	10	abc.xyz.com
