"No current owner name" error BIND 9.0.1

Hi all,
Having just upgraded from a (much) older version of BIND, and
thank God I kept the old binary, I'm now getting the following
errors trying to start the new daemon:

Nov 16 19:15:54 kroner named[1538]: dns_master_load: 
primary/ecel.uwa.domain:8: No current owner name
Nov 16 19:15:55 kroner named[1538]: dns_zone_load: zone ecel.uwa.edu.au/IN: 
database primary/ecel.uwa.domain: dns_db_load failed: no owner
Nov 16 19:15:55 kroner named[1538]: loading zones: no owner
Nov 16 19:15:55 kroner named[1538]: exiting (due to fatal error)

I managed to sort out the $TTL directive problem to get this far
but now I'm stumped again having checked the archives and
anything else I could get my hands onto.  The relevant zone
file starts as follows:

; Authoritative data for ecel.uwa.edu.au (ORIGIN assumed ecel.uwa.edu.au)
$TTL 86400       @       IN      SOA     kroner.ecel.uwa.edu.au. 
postmaster.kroner.ecel.uwa.edu.au. (

                                         3600            ; Retry   1 hour
                                         3600000         ; Expire  1000 hours
                                         86400 )         ; Minimum 24 hours
                         IN      NS      kroner.ecel.uwa.edu.au.

Line 8 from the error log is the IN NS line above (in case the lines
are wrapping on your screen).

Presumably I'm missing a directive there somewhere.  Any pointers?
