Try to add this line in rc.local:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/named start

> Can someone tell me how to set Redhat 6.1 to startup DNS on boot? Someone
told me that if I add /etc/ndc start to rc.local, that it should start
automatically when rebooting, however it does not. Another person told me
that on Debian you can use update-rc.d scriptfile defaults to update the
startup scripts, will this work with RedHat as well?
