Upgrading to bind9

Did you do a 'make install' at all? It seems that the old named is still
executed?
Did you verify that the named binary is actually the new one, and that =
it
gets run from the right location?
How did you restart named (ndc restart?).
Does 'ndc stop' followed by 'ndc start' help instead?
