Bind hangs

Hello,


Bind runs on our fileserver. All Computers are connected
to the internet via our gateway running the firewall.
This connection is just a dial-up connection and only activated
manually. Most of the day, this connection is cut off.

The problem is, that occasionally bind cannot resolve internet
hosts anymore. It has to be restarted, and then it works again
fine until the next hang. These hangs happen in intervals from
3 hours to 3 days.

This may be a configuration problem or it may be
related to the closed internet connection.

May it be, that bind has a problem when trying to resolve hosts
but cannot connect to the forwarders and then just hangs after
a while?

If it is a configuration problem, I have to rethink the files.
