Non-existent host/domain ?

I'm falling into a problem I succeeded to fix many times but this time, I'm
stuck:
Using the nslookup function:

> mydomain.net
"*** localhost can't find sencis.net: Non-existent host/domain"

but
> mydomain.net.
returns:
Server:  localhost
Address:  127.0.0.1
Name:    mydomain.net

(Notice the '.' in the second query).
I've looked up the resolv.conf, 127.0.0, named.conf, 213.xx.xx (which is my
local file) but couldn't something.

Did I miss something ?
