force others' dns server to return authorative answers

Hi

The subject might be confusing because I am not sure what to ask either.

My problem is that a few days ago, the dns server ns1.granitecanyon.com
for our domain was unreachable for a long period of time. So, I added a
couple secondary servers to our internic record.

However, now that the primary server is up, I still see many sites
returning domain information from our secondary servers.

How do I force them to discard their info from their cache and uses the
new information from our primary dns server? (I found out the mail
exchanger in our secondary server for our domain is incorrect but I
cannot change it because it belongs to our web hosting company and they
refuse to change it without a charge).

So, I removed the secondary servers info from internic but some
companies who send emails to us still have info from that seconday dns
server (in their dns server) and therefore their mails are being routed
incorrectly.

this is an example:

correct dns info:
$ nslookup -query=mx comneti.com ns1.granitecanyon.com
Server:  ns1.granitecanyon.com
Address:  205.166.226.38

comneti.com     preference = 40, mail exchanger = quake.xnet.com
comneti.com     preference = 10, mail exchanger =
na-216-214-133-153.corecomm.ne
t
comneti.com     preference = 20, mail exchanger =
na-216-214-133-145.corecomm.ne
t
comneti.com     preference = 30, mail exchanger = comnet.xnet.com
comneti.com     nameserver = ns1.granitecanyon.com
comneti.com     nameserver = ns2.granitecanyon.com
ns1.granitecanyon.com   internet address = 205.166.226.38
ns2.granitecanyon.com   internet address = 216.17.165.20

incorrect info at Lucent Technology's dns server which they use for
sending out emails to us. Our mail exchanger should not be
mail.comneti.com and I don't want them to look up anything from
host4u.net. What can I do?!

$ nslookup -query=mx comneti.com hoextdns.lucent.com

Server:  HOEXTDNS.lucent.com
Address:  192.11.226.169

Non-authoritative answer:
comneti.com     nameserver = NS1.GRANITECANYON.COM
comneti.com     nameserver = NS2.GRANITECANYON.COM
comneti.com     nameserver = NS.HOST4U.NET
comneti.com     nameserver = NS2.HOST4U.NET
comneti.com     preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.comneti.com
comneti.com
        origin = NS.HOST4U.NET
        mail addr = hostmaster.HOST4U.NET
        serial = 99060910
        refresh = 86400 (1 day)
        retry   = 7200 (2 hours)
        expire  = 3600000 (41 days 16 hours)
        minimum ttl = 28800 (8 hours)
comneti.com     internet address = 209.204.233.140

Authoritative answers can be found from:
comneti.com     nameserver = NS1.GRANITECANYON.COM
comneti.com     nameserver = NS2.GRANITECANYON.COM
comneti.com     nameserver = NS.HOST4U.NET
comneti.com     nameserver = NS2.HOST4U.NET
NS1.GRANITECANYON.COM   internet address = 205.166.226.38
NS2.GRANITECANYON.COM   internet address = 216.17.165.20
NS.HOST4U.NET   internet address = 209.150.128.30
NS2.HOST4U.NET  internet address = 209.150.129.3
mail.comneti.com        internet address = 209.204.233.140
