It seems you don't need to be quite as drastic as this. Anne-Marie Collins
(message came to me personally but hasn't shown up on the newsgroup here)
has discovered that it's the NSL Manager DNSPlugin that attempts the
dynamic registration.  It can be disabled in the Extensions Manager.  If
you don't allow dynamic updates to your DNS and you don't have any of the
Apple-specific TXT records that the DNSPlugin uses then I don't think you
lose anything by turning it off.
