reverse, inverse, whats the diff?

They're the same thing.  Most people say "reverse DNS", but the ARIN whois
server says "Domain System inverse mapping provided by:".  That's the only
place I frequently see "inverse" being used in this context, but that code
is pretty old and probaly predates the terminology concensus.
