no make found.

Hello all.
I looked through the archives and didn't find anything like this.
I am trying to compile Bind 8.2.2-P5 on Solaris 8.

I am having trouble making the install file.

I keep getting

sh: make: not found

whenever I try and do make -n install or any variation thereof.  I have
tried it from top level directory down to the lowest directory I could go.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
