alias naming by a newbie problem

Since the two zones appear to have differing information (there are "associate
subdomains" in one, but not  the other), you probably wouldn't want to use the
same file for both of them. So just ignore the suggestion in the last
paragraph of my message.

If you make the left-hand-side of all your SOA records an "@", then you could
still probably purge all of those ugly $ORIGIN's. Did these files originate as
secondary files? I don't know of any *human* who regularly throws in
$ORIGIN directives like this...
