Failed connection attempts from nameserver

I've enabled a port monitor on one of our servers and every night I'm
getting a report that our name servers (the two ip's in the log sample
below) are attempting to contact this computer on random ports.  I can't
explain why this is happening.. name resolution takes place fine on this
machine, so it's not blocking normal lookups.  Any ideas?
