Primary not Propagating to Secondary ( newbie alert )

Setting up primary and secondary dns for domain on red hat 6.2 which is
installing bind-8.2.2_P5-9 . I finally got the primary up and resolving with
nslookup behaving correctly. Now when I update the primary zone file
incrementing the serial by one and starting and stopping named, I check the
secondary and nothing .

Any assistance would be much appreciated.
